It finally happened I have wired internet. All I needed was a switch. Which i burrowed from the student housing office. Success!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's kinda exactly what I told you to do. By turning off the DHCP, you turn the router into a switch. What brand is the switch they gave you? How many ports? Come on, you have to give us the juicy details...

Its some piece of crap switch Allied Telesysn brand 5 port. I turned off the DHCP and even still it would not work proper thats why i had to get there switch lol
