3 Remarks:
Yes, absolutely! It's really easy too, especially if you have an earlier model wii, which I'm pretty certain you do.
Anyway, what you'll need is an SD card, as big as you can find/afford. That's it for the hacking, but if you want to download games (and you should want to, seriously), you'll need an external hard drive as well, one that's powered by USB so it doesn't need a power cord.
There's a special software that you need to download to put the images on the hard drive from your computer, and that requires Windows. I don't think that'll be a problem for you guys, but it was a major pain for me.
At any rate, that's all the hardware you need, and it has a total cost of like 70 dolls at the very most. You'll be able to download unlimited full games as well as wii ware and Virtual Console, in addition to emulators for everything up to N64.
Unfortunately GameCube games don't run off the hard drive, though. That seems to be kind of a theme in these hacking endeavors, as my PS2 can't play PS1 games off the hard drive, either. Interesting.
Are you coming sunday? :] we have an external drive and 4gig san disk. ill see u tomm. anyway , too lazy to type now
Ok, that sounds just fine. Of course I'm going on Sunday! I would never, ever miss an opportunity to come visit you guys, barring financial hardship or previous engagement.
