I just figured out a way to combine a good reason for getting a "netb***" (oh yeah, Google banned the word "netbook" from its ads and such)! We should set up a security auditing and consulting service for regular people! Think about it, we can get paid for hacking into people's networks and then tell them how they can go about making it more secure. This coupled with my previously unrevieled idea... wait for it... investigation! After we break into their network, we can snoop around for them to see what their significant other, or children are up to! I've been thinking about this for some time, cause I want to justify getting a netb*** and an Air.. and still have my phone.. Any thoughts? I would love some feedback on this, so please leave some comments.

That might work for you... I'm about as qualified as a "geek squad" employee. I can get shit set up and play with it, but I don't know what the fuck I'm doing. However that being said, I think you know a lot more about network security than I do, and it might be a fun project for you and "fishy" to play around with.
Lol, Fishy. First of all, when you say "netb***," I think "NetButt." Also, that whole netbook debate is total BS. People shouldn't be granted copyrights so easily.
With regards to the idea, I think it's a good one. I think we could absolutely swing it if we're going for a professional look. I've always wanted to get a little more into network security, too. Frankly though, the investigation angle sounds a little creepy. Like, are we going to blackmail a kid whose mom doesn't know he's going to porn sites or something? Plus, I don't really know how we would get started with that. Aside from having a lemonade-stand style "business" where we ask our friends and relatives, I see some difficulty getting it off the ground. I mean, you know how terribly those little hole in the wall computer repair places tend to do.
I really, really would like a netbook, though. Especially one of the new ones with the Nvidia graphics chipset and HD screens. I know that the next generation is kind of going to blur the lines a little, but a tiny laptop like that for about $350 would be just awesome to carry around.
